Be Bold.

Working from home affords me the luxury of doing laundry, dishes, cleaning, walking the dog, and watching tv during the day. While some may discourage multi-tasking, I embrace it. I’ve found that having the freedom to do what I want when I want to makes me more focused. It also provides me many opportunities to be inspired.

This week, as we crawled towards 2011, I have taken advantage of some down-time and watched many of the documentaries and movies piling up in my Netflix queue. This week I’ve watched:

The Insider

The September Issue

The President’s Photographer

Art & Copy

Many of these are not new. The Insider has been on my to-watch list since it was released in 1999. While we don’t know what the new year has in store for us, these films have me giddy with excitement.Though each of these films has it’s own unique message or theme, if I were to look for consistencies, I would say it’s about being bold. To speak up, to create, to innovate, to make history, boldness is a basic prerequisite.

And maybe that’s what has me so excited for 2011. Whether it’s social media or online marketing, big companies, small businesses, private schools, public institutions have to be bold if they want to be noticed.

Have a bold year!
