Each year, The Strategic Peacock makes an effort to donate services to local organizations who may not be able to invest in professional online media services. There are so many wonderful, local organizations working hard to make a difference and because they put 100% of their resources into helping their communities, there’s not always enough left to invest in their communications strategy.
For the past two years, The Strategic Peacock has had the honor of donating time and skills to assist the following organizations.
Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program

Project: website redesign, web content review, social media development
NVTRP offers a wide range of equestrian therapy programs and services to children and adults who live with disabilities in the Washington Metropolitan Area. From wounded warriors to children with special needs, NVTRP staff and volunteers works tirelessly to improve students’ mobility, build self-esteem and further socialization by riding and working with horses.
Since 2012, The Strategic Peacock has helped NVTRP optimize its content, create and launch a new website, as well as develop its social media presence. The goal of the project, which officially launched in March 2013, was to help NVTRP promote its programs and services to a wider audience online.
Get involved: NVTRP hosts a variety of events during the year. From camps to horse shows to fundraisers, there are many ways community members can lend their support. NVTRP’s signature event — Ride to Thrive Polo — is a must see event featuring a professional Polo event played on the magnificent fields of Chetwood Park in The Plains, Virginia.
